Fanshawe College

Fanshawe College, formerly known as Ontario Vocational College (OVC), is a public college in London, Ontario, that was founded in 1962. In 1967, it became Fanshawe College, part of a provincial system of applied arts and technology colleges. The college’s name has old English origins, combining words fane (meaning temple or building) and shaw or shawe (meaning woods) to mean “temple in the woods”. Fanshawe College is located in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Fanshawe College is divided into four major campuses. The campuses are located in London, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock.

More than 200 academic programs are available at Fanshawe, ranging from two-year diplomas to three-year advanced diplomas to one-year post-graduate programs and honours bachelor’s degrees (four years). The college has a total of 15 faculty, which is School of Transportation Technology and Apprenticeship; School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts; School of Public Safety; School of Nursing; School of Language and Liberal Studies; School of Information Technology; School of Health Sciences; School of Digital and Performing Arts; School of Design; School of Contemporary Media; School of Community Studies; School of Applied Science and Technology; Norton Wolf School of Aviation Technology; Lawrence Kinlin School of Business; and Donald J. Smith School of Building Technology.

Each year, Fanshawe College teaches students from over 85 nations throughout the world. The College can provide international students with all of the resources they require from the time they arrive until they graduate, including housing, employment, clubs, and activities. They also have provide student facilities, such as, workshops, language center, fitness centre, library, healthcare & medical, all weather sports pitches, campus bus service, food & restaurants, IT support, clubs & organizations, sport facilities and also tutoring support.
